I hope they call me on a mission

Guess what? They have!

I received news tonight from the branch president that my call has been made. Made! That means where I'll be serving for the next 18 months is already decided, I just have to wait for the mail to bring the news to me :)

Pres. J. chuckled when I danced up and down and spun around in his office! It's such exciting news. I have never felt more entirely happy about something in my entire life.

Of course there are things I worry about (leaving school for this break, missing people while gone, talking to strangers about something so precious to me), but ALL of those things disappear when I think about getting my mission call and going out to do what I have wanted for so long. This is good. This is right.

It is exactly the right thing at the right time. I am so grateful for this opportunity, that the age change could happen in time for me. When I talk about my mission I can hardly keep my voice at a normal level, I'm filled with such emotion and joy! This is RIGHT. This is good.

And it's already decided.

Read about how they decide where people go on missions. (It's called a "call" because it's like a calling from God. Or, no, it's not 'like' a calling from God; it is one. Anyway, there's divine inspiration all throughout the process, and the article explains it well.)
